69 y old-Male Presents with difficulty falling asleep and staying asleep. The patient reports feeling sad, agitated and sleepy during the day and restless at night. The problem started after the death of his sister 2 months previously. He is unable to fall asleep until at least an hour after going to bed. He has no previous sleep problems. A general practitioner (GP) he consulted had prescribed low-dose dothiepin (tricyclic antidepressant) on 11/1  as sedation but he was unable to tolerate the drowsiness and dry mouth caused by the medication. He discontinued use of medication due to intolerable side effects. He consumes 4 cups of coffee during the day and lately takes alcohol at night to aid sleep. The patient’s wife has noted that his legs jerk occasionally during the sleep though the man is not aware of these movements and she also says he hasn’t left the house in over a month. Reason for admission – Re evaluation with GP for disturbed sleep.Medical diagnosis- Insomnia, RLSPast medical history- Hyperlipidemia, HTN, depressionMedications: Metoprolol PO BID 12.5mg , Atorvastatin 80mg po at bedtime   i need 3 nursing diagnosis for this patient and 3 nursing interventions   Health Science Science Nursing NUR 470
